CIRCULAR ECONOMY FNQ | HELPING BUSINESS TO:
REDUCE ⭕️ REDESIGN ⭕️ REGENERATE ⭕️
What we do up to 2030 will make an impact to those who live on this planet for the next 1000.
Our goal is to help with a smooth transition to a circular economy through education. Helping businesses develop next generation jobs in a circular economy across STEEM and makers pathways through Product Stewardship Certification & feedback loops via ISO59000. The ripple effect will impact economic, environmental and social systems. We believe that decentralised systems and manufacturing is the key to reducing Scope 3 Emissions on our every day products and can act to give Product Stewardship Certification to businesses for good.
STEEM focused Micro Factories are central part of our strategy.

BE THE CHANGE
As a Not For Profit with a passion for social impact,
Circular Economy FNQ sees the value in Education both on the job and in extra curricular and Citizen Science programs to develop experienced based learning across Social, Economic and Environmental feedback loops. This is the core of Lifecycle Analysis and achieving Net0 to save the Ocean and our World Heritage Sandwich.
The Circular Industrial Economy is the framework designed by Walter R. Stahel, a Swiss Architect who saw how to reduce transport and carbon emissions by designed a decentralised framework that would see economical development in regional and remote areas. His key regional strategy is Microfactories.
People = Social. Planet = Ecological. Economical = reManufacturing.
These systems need our undivided attention.
We believe that moving from Sustainable to Regenerative systems is achieved by doing the most import R in the Circular Economy framework = REDUCE.
You can not have a strong economy on a collapsing environment.
David Attenborough's latest movie Ocean shows us the pathway to Net0 through Ocean Treaty 2030. Our GDR status is on Education and that is why we are delivering an Introduction To Environmental Science with a Blue Carbon project focused Phytoplankton - which makes despite being 1% of the worlds plant biomass it is responsible for 50% of the Planets oxygen. We have a supply chain pathway for research that started this year that needs something that FNQ and Northern Australia has ample of. Biogenic Iron Dust for an Ocean Iron Seeding research project; exOIS.
Our GDR application is focused on Education and the main feedback loop to a Net0 is nature.
We are going to miss the
Paris Agreements'
global temperature increase limit of 1.5 degrees, that means we also have to include
REPAIR
and ADAPTION in our roadmap to 2030. This Blue Carbon Project is the result of 3.5years of research by our Chair that is focused on increasing Phytoplankton and creating a jobs pathway for our STEEM students. The Introduction to Environmental Science degree extra curricular pathway starts High School students this is the
pathway for Rebels and Changemakers that want to be part of achieving Net 0 by 2030.

Circular Business Model Transition
Before you redesign your business you need to reduce your waste, so we work with you to identify gaps in your systems to help you find the potential outside Water, Waste and Energy to reduce your Scope 1|2|3 emissions. We have access to 2 micro factories that will take contaminated waste offering national brands the opportunity to obtain Product Stewardship Certification for Plastics, Tyres and Ag and Hospital waste at scale to turn it into Biochar, Bio Fuels and printing Passive Houses in place.
Data Driven Road Map
The green dollar is the new Unique Selling Point, USP, for your business. To be able to attract or use Carbon and Plastic credits for your business and show your impact it is key to use data that tells the story of your businesses good.
We have a collaboration with an environmental engineering company that does just that. It is part of the service of working with Circular Economy FNQs Business Model Transition service.
Education - Climate Action and Circular Classroom
Some of our other collaborations are with two key education systems that help turn your school into a modern recycling facility while raising funds for your P&C and school purse to allow you to invest in the programs that work for your school. This sponsorship is through our funding from our main contribution partner, we made it better for the planet.
In 2025 we are sponsoring 1 of the largest public high schools in Cairns to do what the Gonski report promised to do 10 years ago. LEAN skills will help deliver sovereign manufacturing to Australia and we will be doing that from waste|urban mining.

One Of The Biggest Challenges To Making Waste A Resource Is Contamination!
It's What You Do At Home That Matters The Most.
Recycling is a loop we will never get off if you don't buy better & less.
Designing out single use in our products and having Product Stewardship Certification = the manufacturer pays for the end of life management of the stuff we buy is the only way we get rid of RECYCLING.
